Professional Outreach - Bayou City Network

InnerWisdom, Inc. is reaching out in support to the world community of mental health professionals and policy makers through the development, supervision, implementation and collaboration of recovery-based programs and polices worldwide.

Support Groups, Brown Bag Lunches, Workshops and Educational Seminars are presented to professionals. InnerWisdom, Inc.'s educational efforts include collaboration with other agencies, organizations and training institutes. Continuing Education Credit Hours are usually provided through the University of Houston, graduate School of Social Work.

Legislative efforts to increase the awareness and treatment of mental illness are a passionate undertaking of the InnerWisdom, Inc. staff. Trips to meet with Congressional leaders are organized twice a year in an effort to educate Representatives and their Aides to the needs of the mental health community. These trips have been valuable to both professionals and Representatives, and new legislation regarding the mentally ill has been passed because of these efforts.
