Commitment to Professionals

Our Committment to the Mental Health Community

We have pondered questions and potential answers to treatment and policy issues for over twenty five years now. We think that we have come up with some sound and competent programs. InnerWisdom, Inc. was developed out of the need to assist clients in a health care system that was drastically changing and  sorely lacking in mental health treatment options. Individuals are beginning to take personal responsibility for their health care. Individuals can learn to rely on themselves to gather the information that most benefits them and their medical issues and life-style. These and other situations had to be carefully analyzed before the staff at InnerWisdom, Inc. could establish effective treatment programs. We feel we are now ready to assist other professionals in their pursuit, and aid in the development of specific programs that fit most recovering groups and situations

The basic philosophy from which we operate is that the Body, Mind and Spirit are a unified whole, and cannot be treated independently, one from another. In addition, it is important to determine what the mind of each individual currently believes; how it got the information from which it operates; what residual, unresolved, negative experiences have contributed to the dysfunctional factors of the prevailing life-style, and how the body has suffered from the lingering effects of its negative programming. In addition, by using the well-researched Family Concept, and other Concepts, the Programs & Services, and Strategies, developed by InnerWisdom, Inc. can be used to design a personal and individualized treatment plan, including all aspects of the client's current and previous life experiences and relationships.

InnerWisdom, Inc. is firm in our belief that education is essential to bringing awareness to mental health issues and the discrimination that has been brought to bear on those who experience mental/emotional problems. As mental health specialists, we owe it to our professions and clients to advocate for them and their families. It is necessary to work together

If you are interested in receiving information about our programs, or in working together on any of our projects, legislation, or grass roots efforts regarding mental health issues, please notify me of your interest at jmandel@innerwisdom.com

What Our Clients Say

  • Everyone made me feel welcome; the staff and clients, from my first day. If I felt lost or confused, I was pointed in the right direction or was given information to answer my questions. I had time to get adjusted to everything without feeling hurried.

  • Inner Wisdom has a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) where patients meet in groups with a therapist on a daily schedule. Patients have a variety of mental illness diagnoses, including Bipolar Disorder, Schizoaffective disorder, Schizophrenia, and substance abuse, which interfere with their ability to live a full and productive life. Students will have the opportunity to shadow therapists, facilitate therapy groups and Psychoeducation groups, meet individually with patients, and understand the case management required by Medicare and private insurance companies. Students work under a variety of therapists and can observe different styles and strengths. A strong team approach is encouraged. Students have the opportunity to get direct experience with patients and to use their skills creatively in offering therapy.
